Inspired by an old Elder tree which to me ia an endless source of facination.
I love how her sweet frothy flowers burst into life in early summer, their scent takes me back to my childhood garden and gathering some to make 'potions' with my dear dad.  Then slowly transforming into clusters of jewel like berries in Autumn, berries that could heal or harm if treated with carelessness. Elder trees have always appeared as a wise old crone to me , full of knowledge and wise insight into lifes challenges. Representing the dark and the light, in perfect balance.
My 'Elder' is crowned by a wreath of berries and leaves from the magical Elder tree, she wears her hag stone to help her navigate the other realms with the help of her constant companion her trusty loyal toad .
